The Programme Officer will play a central role in implementing Al-Mustafa Welfare Trust’s one-to-one programme across Pakistan. This position involves managing the full lifecycle of the project in close coordination with AMWT UK and various field offices. The officer will ensure timely disbursement of funds, maintain accurate beneficiary records, and uphold safeguarding protocols throughout project delivery. Integrity, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of humanitarian principles and donor accountability are essential for success in this role. The position is based at the Lahore Head Office with regular travel to field locations and reports directly to the Manager Programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and monitor project plans in line with donor requirements and organizational goals.
- Coordinate closely with field teams, the Head Office, and international partners to ensure smooth communication and alignment.
- Facilitate the timely and accurate flow of project information, including reports and updates.
- Work with the Finance Department to ensure prompt disbursement of project funds and maintain proper financial documentation.
- Track project deliverables, timelines, and budgets, identifying and addressing any deviations or risks.
- Manage all project documentation, including agreements, reports, and beneficiary data.
- Conduct field visits to verify activities, collect beneficiary data, and monitor progress against targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community stakeholders, partners, and beneficiaries.
- Ensure beneficiary profiles and project impact data are accurately collected and updated.
- Adhere strictly to organizational policies, donor guidelines, and safeguarding frameworks.
- Identify and report any risks or compliance issues through official channels, maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Conduct regular monitoring visits to assess project quality, gather beneficiary feedback, and identify challenges.
- Support the preparation of donor reports, proposal updates, and impact assessments.
- Conduct baseline surveys, analyze data, and contribute to case studies, success stories, and communication materials for donors and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Gender Studies, Public Relations, or related fields.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in managing emergency response, humanitarian action, and donor-funded projects.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding policies, PSHEA training, and project protection principles.
- Experience working with charity-based organizations; experience with UK-based charities is considered an asset.
- Proven ability to follow donor reporting protocols and maintain accountability standards.
Preferred Qualifications and Other Requirements
- Willingness to travel regularly to project field sites.
- Fluency in English and Urdu is required; knowledge of Sindhi, Punjabi, or Pashto is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Drive, Power BI, and WhatsApp for business communication.

This is a full-time position based in Lahore with frequent field travel. The Programme Officer will be a key contributor to the successful delivery of AMWT’s humanitarian initiatives across Pakistan.
