The Social Organizer serves as the primary community interface between the organization and targeted beneficiaries, communities, local leaders, government authorities, and project stakeholders.
The position is responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring, documenting, and supporting community-based interventions in Health, Education, Relief, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), Emergency Response, Resilience Building, and Social Development Programming.
The Social Organizer plays a critical role in community engagement, beneficiary identification and verification, awareness raising, mobilization of community structures, baseline assessments, monitoring activities, capacity building, accountability to affected populations, and ensuring effective implementation of donor-funded projects in accordance with organizational policies, donor requirements, and applicable government regulations.

The position may be based at any assigned field office/project location within SINDH with frequent travel to project districts, disaster-prone areas, emergency response locations, and government coordination forums.

This recruitment aims to establish an Emergency/Humanitarian Response Roster. Candidates who meet the eligibility and position requirements will be considered for inclusion in roster for future opportunities, subject to organizational needs and funding availability. Inclusion in the roster does not guarantee employment.


Responsibilities

A. Community Mobilization and Engagement
The Social Organizer shall:
Introduce organizational programs and projects to communities and stakeholders.
Facilitate community entry processes and gain acceptance from local communities.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with:
o Community elders
o Religious leaders
o Teachers
o Health workers
o Local influencers
o Women's groups
o Youth groups
o Community-based organizations
o Village committees
Support formation and strengthening of community structures, committees, and volunteer networks.
Facilitate community meetings, focus group discussions, consultations, awareness sessions, and participatory planning exercises.
Promote community ownership and participation throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure inclusion of women, children, persons with disabilities, marginalized populations, and vulnerable groups.

B. Health Programme Support
The Social Organizer shall:
Mobilize communities to participate in:
o MNCH interventions
o Nutrition programmes
o Health awareness sessions
o Immunization campaigns
o Hygiene promotion initiatives
o Community health activities
Support identification and referral of vulnerable individuals requiring health services.
Conduct awareness sessions on:
o Maternal health
o Child health
o Nutrition
o Hygiene
o Disease prevention
o Immunization
o Community health resilience
Support beneficiary registration and verification processes.
Facilitate coordination between communities and health service providers.
Assist health teams during outreach activities and awareness campaigns.

C. Education Programme Support
The Social Organizer shall:
Mobilize communities to promote access to education.
Support enrollment and retention of children in educational programmes.
Conduct awareness activities regarding:
o Education rights
o School attendance
o Child safeguarding
o Inclusive education
o Girls' education
Identify out-of-school children and vulnerable learners.
Facilitate parent, teacher, and community engagement.
Support School Management Committees (SMCs) and Parent Teacher Councils (PTCs).
Mobilize communities during:
o Back-to-school campaigns
o Enrollment drives
o School improvement initiatives
o Learning support activities

D. Relief and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Programme Support
The position holder shall:
Support emergency preparedness, response, recovery, and resilience-building interventions.
Mobilize communities during:
o Relief distributions
o Emergency assessments
o Beneficiary verification exercises
o Awareness campaigns
o Disaster preparedness trainings
Facilitate establishment and strengthening of:
o Community Disaster Management Committees
o Volunteer groups
o Local preparedness structures
Support community risk assessments, hazard mapping, and vulnerability assessments.
Participate in emergency response activities during floods, earthquakes, droughts, displacement crises, and other emergencies.
Support dissemination of early warning and preparedness messages.
Assist field teams during rapid needs assessments and response operations.

E. Project Planning and Implementation Support
The Social Organizer shall:
Support preparation of:
o Weekly activity plans
o Monthly implementation plans
o Detailed Implementation Plans (DIPs)
o Community engagement plans
Assist supervisors in implementation planning at district and village levels.
Support baseline surveys, community profiling, household assessments, and beneficiary identification.
Develop village and community profiles.
Assist project teams in implementing project activities according to approved plans and targets.
Identify implementation challenges and provide timely feedback to supervisors.
Support achievement of project indicators and deliverables.

F. Monitoring, Data Collection and Documentation
The Social Organizer shall:
Collect field-level programme data using approved tools.
Support:
o Baseline surveys
o Endline surveys
o Monitoring visits
o Beneficiary verification
o Community feedback collection
Conduct routine field monitoring.
Maintain records of project activities and community engagement events.
Submit accurate field information to supervisors and MEAL teams.
Ensure data quality and accuracy.
Document project progress, challenges, lessons learned, and success stories.
Support post-distribution monitoring and beneficiary feedback exercises.

G. Capacity Building and Community Empowerment
The position holder shall:
Facilitate training and awareness sessions for community members.
Strengthen capacities of:
o Community committees
o Volunteers
o Beneficiary groups
o School committees
o Health committees
o Disaster management committees
Promote community leadership and participation.
Support development of community action plans.
Encourage sustainable community-led solutions.

H. Government and Stakeholder Coordination (Pakistan Context)
The Social Organizer shall:
Coordinate with:
o Union Council representatives
o Village committees
o Local government bodies
o Health facilities
o Schools
o District line departments
o Community leaders
Support project teams during government meetings and coordination activities.
Facilitate communication between project beneficiaries and relevant government service providers.
Support implementation of activities requiring local approvals and community permissions.
Promote constructive engagement with district administrations and local authorities.

I. Compliance, Safeguarding and Accountability
The Social Organizer shall:
