Source Gate Technology Solutions, a progressive technology firm based in Lahore, Pakistan, is looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer with 1 to 3 years of experience to join its AI development team. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of AI-driven applications by planning and executing thorough software testing processes. This role requires close collaboration with developers, project managers, and product teams to detect issues early, improve product quality, and deliver an exceptional user experience. Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and scenarios to validate software functionality. Conduct various testing types including functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, and exploratory testing. Test AI-powered web applications, APIs, and software products to ensure they meet quality standards. Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using bug-tracking tools, working closely with developers to reproduce and resolve issues efficiently. Validate new features prior to release to guarantee production readiness. Perform API testing using tools like Postman and execute cross-browser, cross-platform, and responsive testing. Participate actively in sprint planning, requirement analysis, and software release cycles. Maintain QA documentation and generate detailed testing reports. Recommend process improvements aimed at enhancing software quality and ensure all deliverables meet functional and performance requirements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Between 1 to 3 years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance. Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). Proficient in manual testing methodologies and bug lifecycle management. Experience testing REST APIs. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills combined with strong communication and documentation abilities. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of AI, Machine Learning, or Generative AI applications will be an advantage. Basic familiarity with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress is preferred. Understanding of SQL and database validation techniques. Experience with project management tools like Jira, ClickUp, or Azure DevOps. Familiarity with Git/GitHub workflows is a plus.
The company offers a competitive salary package ranging from Rs60,000 to Rs70,000 per month, depending on experience.
