Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor (QS) with 7 to 15 years of experience to join our building construction team based in Lahore, Pakistan. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in building construction projects, particularly those involving government contracts. A strong understanding of the Market Rates System (MRS) is essential. This full-time position requires a professional who can manage cost estimation, quantity measurement, and project documentation efficiently while coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs), estimates, and cost calculations accurately.
- Conduct detailed rate analysis in accordance with the Market Rates System (MRS).
- Manage quantities, measurements, costing, and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Review contractor bills, variations, and payment certificates to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of government tenders and related project documentation.
- Coordinate effectively with engineers, contractors, consultants, and government departments to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Monitor project costs closely and ensure precise quantity measurements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support project teams by maintaining detailed cost and quantity records to aid in financial tracking and reporting.

Required Qualifications
- 7 to 15 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying within the building construction sector.
- Proven experience working on government projects is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge and practical application of the Market Rates System (MRS).
- Demonstrated expertise in preparing BOQs, cost estimation, rate analysis, and quantity measurements.
- Good understanding of government tendering processes and construction procedures.
- Relevant academic qualification in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a closely related field.

Candidates lacking experience in building construction and government projects will not be considered for this role.

Compensation and Work Environment
The position offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs70,490.88 to Rs120,924.89. The work location is onsite in Lahore, requiring the candidate’s physical presence to effectively manage project responsibilities.
