The Biomedical Engineer/ Service Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the service operations, ensuring all biomedical devices meet stringent quality and safety standards. This position requires an individual with excellent technical proficiency in biomedical equipment calibration, strong customer service skills, and the ability to train end users effectively. The role demands proactive problem-solving, team management, and a commitment to maintaining the highest regulatory and operational standards in healthcare technology.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 5 service engineers to ensure timely and accurate servicing of biomedical equipment.
- Perform calibration, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of biomedical devices to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory standards and company policies related to biomedical equipment safety and functionality.
- Provide customer support, addressing client inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and offering solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Conduct training sessions for customers and internal staff on proper use and maintenance of biomedical devices.
- Coordinate service schedules, manage resources efficiently, and maintain documentation related to service activities and compliance.
- Collaborate with other departments to support new equipment installations and post-installation follow-ups.
- Monitor the performance of biomedical equipment and implement preventive maintenance plans to reduce downtime.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in biomedical technology and regulatory requirements to ensure continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement best practices and standard operating procedures for biomedical equipment servicing and team activities.
