The Head of Core Banking, Payments, Digital & Data is a key leadership role within the Technology function, reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO).

Therolecarriesend-to-endaccountabilityfortheimplementation,Integration,anddeliveryoftheBanks Core Banking System, Payments Infrastructure, Digital Banking Platforms, and Data Ecosystem.

The incumbent will ensure that all platforms are delivered in a structured, controlled, and governed manner, aligned with business priorities, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) regulations, and Islamic banking requirements, while maintaining the highest standards of STABILITY, SCALABILITY, SECURITY, and PERFORMANCE.

The role will also serve as the Deputy to the CIO, assuming leadership responsibility inthe CIOs absence andensuringcontinuityofdirection,decision-making,execution,andalignmentwiththeBanksstrategic priorities across the Technology function.

Responsibilities
RolePurpose:

LeadthesuccessfulimplementationofCoreBanking,Payments,DigitalChannels,andData platforms from initiation to stabilization
Translatebusinessrequirementsintostructured,scalable,andwell-governedtechnologysolutions
Ensureseamlessintegrationacrossallbankingsystemsandexternalecosystems
Establishstrongdeliverydiscipline,governance,andexecutioncontrolacrossallprograms
EnsuresystemsareimplementedwithafocusonStability,Scalability,Security,andPerformance
Enablereal-time,digital-firstbankingcapabilitiesalignedwithmodernbankingexpectations
SupporttheCIOindeliveringtheBanksoverallTechnology Strategythrougheffectiveexecution

LeadtheEnd-to-EndImplementationoftheCoreBankingSystem(CBS)
Ensurerequirementsareclearlydefined,validatedandsigned-offwithbusinessandShariah stakeholders
Managethecompletelifecycleincluding:
Requirementsfinalizationandgovernance
- Vendorselectionandcontractingalignment
  - SolutiondesigninlinewithEnterpriseArchitecture
  - Integration,testing,andqualityassurance
  - Datamigration,reconciliation,andvalidation
  - Cutoverexecutionandpost-go-livestabilization
Drivestrongcoordinationacrossbusiness,operations,compliance,andvendors

PaymentsTechnologyImplementation

LeadimplementationoftheBanksPAYMENTSecosystem,including:
Raast(InstantPaymentSystem)
- IBFTandRTGSintegrations
  - Cardmanagementandswitchingplatforms
EnsurefullcompliancewithSBPandpaymentschemeregulations
- Enablehighavailabilityandreal-timeprocessingcapabilities
- EstablishrobustReconciliation,Settlement,andTransactionMonitoringprocesses
- EnsuretightintegrationwithCoreBankingandDigitalplatforms

DigitalBankingPlatforms

LeadimplementationofDigitalBankingChannels,including:
MobileBanking
- InternetBanking(RetailandCorporate)
  - DigitalOnboardingandCustomerLifecycleplatforms
DeliverEnd-to-EndDigitalCustomerJourneysthataresimple,secure,andefficient
- EnableAlways-OnDigitalServiceswithreal-timecapabilities
DriveAPI-FirstEnablementforecosystemintegrationandfintechcollaboration
- Ensureplatformsmeethighstandardsofperformance,usability,andscalability

Integration&Middleware

DesignandimplementarobustIntegrationLayer(APIs,Middleware,ESB)
Ensureseamlesssystemsconnectivityacross:

Data Warehouse

EnsureDataConsistency,accuracy,andreconciliationacrosssystems
- SupportRegulatoryReporting(SBP)andbusinessintelligenceneeds
- EstablishDataGovernanceControlsincludingownership,quality,andvalidation
