Relationship Manager Deposit

Mobilink Microfinance Bank Ltd. (MMBL) is seeking a Relationship Manager for Deposit Banking to play a pivotal role in managing and expanding relationships with individual and corporate clients. This position focuses on driving deposit growth by acquiring new clients, retaining existing ones, and ensuring their deposit needs are met efficiently. The Relationship Manager will contribute significantly to portfolio growth, customer satisfaction, and cross-selling of banking products, supporting the bank’s overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Execute sales strategies and customer acquisition processes to meet and exceed portfolio growth and cross-sell targets.
- Achieve assigned portfolio targets across products such as CALSA, Savings Accounts (SA), and Term Deposits (TD) on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Recruit and onboard Freelancers and Brand Ambassadors to build a deposit mobilization team of approximately 25 members focused on retail deposit marketing.
- Maintain the targeted portfolio mix between CASA (Current Account Savings Account) and Term Deposits to ensure balanced growth.
- Drive fairly priced deposit mobilization to support retail deposit growth through multiple account openings.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with key potential clients, converting them into long-term business partnerships.
- Mobilize deposits across a broad base of accounts to minimize concentration risk and portfolio volatility.
- Consistently open new-to-bank (NTB) accounts daily to maintain a steady deposit inflow.
- Collaborate with branch staff to provide the highest level of customer service.
- Identify clients’ financial needs and offer tailored solutions including Payments & Cash Management, Trade Services, Treasury, and Investment Banking, with support from Area or Regional Managers.
- Maintain ongoing client relationships to maximize business value and explore 360-degree opportunities.
- Monitor competitor activities to proactively retain and satisfy MMBL clients.
- Address and resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
- Complete any additional tasks or assignments as directed by the Line Manager efficiently and effectively.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution in Business Administration, Commerce, Accounting, Marketing, Economics, or Finance.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in sales planning, management, and operations within retail or consumer banking.
- Strong understanding of deposit products and their operational mechanisms.
- Knowledge of CASA fundamentals and strategies to achieve CASA growth.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- An MBA degree is preferred, subject to approval.
