1- Qualification & Experience: A minimum qualification of MS/MPhil in Media Studies, Mass Communication, or Journalism from a nationally or internationally recognized institution.
2- The ideal candidate will have at least five years of teaching experience in a Higher Education Commission (HEC) recognized institution and demonstrate expertise in areas such as media production, journalism, communication studies, digital media, or related disciplines.
Job Description:
Senior Lecturer will be responsible to:
1. Deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions in various areas of Media and Communication in accordance with the approved curriculum.
2. Develop and regularly update course materials to reflect current trends and innovations in media, journalism, digital communication, and production practices.
3. Guide students in practical media production projects, ensuring adherence to professional and ethical standards in media content creation.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive lectures and practical sessions covering diverse topics in media, journalism, communication studies, and digital media in accordance with the approved curriculum.
- Develop, revise, and maintain course materials to incorporate latest research, technological advancements, and industry best practices in media and communication fields.
- Guide and support students in developing media production projects, emphasizing creativity, professionalism, and adherence to ethical standards in content creation.
- Conduct scholarly research and contribute to academic publications to advance knowledge and drive innovation within media and communication disciplines.
- Participate actively in curriculum review and design to ensure program relevance, academic rigor, and alignment with higher education standards.
- Evaluate student work fairly and constructively by providing timely feedback to foster learning and skill development.
- Engage in academic committees and collaborate with colleagues to promote departmental objectives and continuous improvement of teaching methods.
- Support student mentoring and academic advising to assist learners in achieving their educational and career goals.
- Stay informed about emerging trends in media production, journalism, and digital communication through professional development and networking.
- Promote ethical media practices and critical thinking among students to prepare them for responsible professional roles in media industries.
