Production Engineer-Cutting Bending

Saab Moulded Furniture is seeking a skilled Production Engineer-Cutting Bending to lead and optimize the cutting and bending operations within the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate brings at least three years of experience in production engineering, focusing on metal fabrication techniques and machinery operation. This role demands expertise in developing efficient production processes while ensuring adherence to safety standards and lean manufacturing principles. The engineer will be responsible for managing a team of five personnel, driving productivity improvements, and ensuring that operations align with quality and safety expectations. In this position, the Production Engineer-Cutting Bending collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to plan production activities, troubleshoot machinery issues, and implement process enhancements. Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and optimize production processes related to cutting and bending metal fabrication to improve efficiency and quality.
Operate and oversee cutting and bending machinery, ensuring machines run safely and effectively in accordance with industry standards.
Plan and schedule production activities to meet manufacturing targets while maintaining adherence to safety and quality guidelines.
Lead and supervise a team of five production personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, promoting a culture of workplace safety and risk management.
Apply lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve process flow throughout the production cycle.
Troubleshoot operational issues promptly, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule routine machine servicing and emergency repairs to maintain equipment reliability.
Track production metrics and generate reports to inform management on performance, challenges, and improvement opportunities.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing production data, recommending enhancements, and leading implementation efforts.
Coordinate with other departments to align production schedules with supply chain and customer demand requirements.
Maintain documentation related to production procedures, safety compliance, and process changes to ensure traceability and standardization.
