Salam Medical Complex is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse with at least three years of relevant experience to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate must hold a valid PNC certification and preferably be located in or willing to relocate to Lahore. This role requires a compassionate individual with strong communication skills who can provide exceptional patient care in a hospital setting. The Staff Nurse will specialize in labor and delivery monitoring, ensuring the well-being of mothers and newborns through accurate assessment and supportive care. The Staff Nurse will perform critical tasks such as fetal heart rate monitoring, labor progress assessment, and neonatal blood sampling. The position involves following established protocols to deliver quality care while maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients. Although this role does not involve managing a team, it demands excellent collaboration with doctors, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and effective interventions for mothers and infants.
Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient care focused on labor and delivery, including monitoring the progress of labor and the condition of both mother and child.
  • Conduct fetal heart rate monitoring using cardiotocography (CTG) to detect any abnormalities and ensure fetal well-being.
  • Assess cervical dilation and contraction patterns accurately to support clinical decisions related to labor progression.
  • Implement labor and delivery monitoring protocols to maintain safety and quality of care during childbirth.
  • Carry out neonatal blood sampling and newborn sampling techniques with precision and care to aid in early diagnosis and treatment.
  • Calculate pediatric dosages accurately for medications administered to newborns and infants following clinical guidelines.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and communicate effectively with the healthcare team to provide coordinated care.
  • Adhere to infection control standards and hospital safety policies to protect patients and staff during all clinical procedures.
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families throughout the labor and delivery process.
  • Stay updated with current nursing practices, participate in training sessions, and utilize continuous learning to enhance professional skills.
