Senior Accountant with Team Management Experience - TJ / 1895047

Euro Food Industries is seeking a Senior Accountant with team management experience to join their finance department in Karachi. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of practical accounting experience, demonstrating proficiency in managing financial records, general ledgers, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations. This role involves leading a small team of two accounting professionals, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial processes. Candidates residing in the Landhi Korangi area will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and maintain general ledger accounts to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, timely payments, and collections.
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations to verify and balance company accounts.
- Supervise and mentor a team of two accounting staff, optimizing workflow and maintaining high standards of financial documentation.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external auditors to support audit preparation and financial reviews.
- Monitor compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and tax regulations, ensuring all procedures are followed.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues within accounting records promptly and effectively.
- Maintain and update accounting procedures, recommending and implementing improvements where necessary.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing accurate and timely financial data.
- Ensure the confidentiality and secure management of all financial information and documents.
- Collaborate with management to develop financial strategies aimed at improving operational performance.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of three years of hands-on accounting experience with a strong understanding of financial record management.
- Proven experience in managing general ledgers, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a small team effectively.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information responsibly.
- Proficient in preparing financial reports and statements in compliance with regulatory standards.
