NexaQuanta is a technology consulting and delivery partner specialising in supporting regulated financial services firms across the UK and EU. We help modernise platforms, data, and operating models by combining domain expertise with senior engineering and analysis teams based in South Asia. Our work is tailored to meet the rigorous standards of FCA-regulated environments. We are currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our team and support one of our key financial services engagements. This role requires translating the needs of advisers, paraplanners, operations, and compliance teams into clear, actionable requirements for engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have deep experience within fintech and wealth management platforms and be comfortable navigating FCA compliance alongside pragmatic product delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead discovery sessions with stakeholders and end users to understand workflows, pain points, and regulatory requirements.
- Elicit, analyse, and document business and functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows for modules such as client onboarding, fact-find, suitability, fees and commission reconciliation, provider feeds, and reporting.
- Translate complex wealth management concepts—including platforms, wrappers, model portfolios, charges, and regulatory obligations like MiFID II and Consumer Duty—into clear technical specifications for engineers.
- Map and re-engineer adviser-firm processes such as onboarding, annual reviews, suitability assessments, and ongoing servicing to identify automation opportunities.
- Facilitate requirements workshops, demos, and user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions with UK-based stakeholders, documenting minutes, decisions, and follow-up actions.
- Maintain a prioritised backlog in collaboration with Product and Engineering teams; support sprint planning, refinement, and release readiness.
- Define and document API contracts and data flows, particularly for provider feeds and third-party integrations such as wrap platforms, risk profilers, and cashflow tools.
- Support data migration analysis for firms transitioning from legacy systems like Intelliflo, Curo, Adviser Office, and True Potential to modern platforms.
- Ensure compliance and audit-trail requirements are embedded in all documentation, aligning with FCA regulations.
- Mentor junior analysts within the delivery team and uphold high standards for documentation and agile ceremonies.
Required Qualifications
- 6 to 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role, with at least 3 years in fintech and/or wealth management.
- Direct experience with financial adviser CRMs, wealth platforms, wrap platforms, robo-advice, portfolio management systems, or core fintech back-office products.
- Strong understanding of UK wealth management workflows including client onboarding, fact-finding, KYC/AML, suitability, ongoing reviews, fees, commissions, and reporting.
- Familiarity with the regulatory environment affecting adviser technology, including FCA Handbook (COBS, SYSC), MiFID II, Consumer Duty, and GDPR, sufficient to write compliant requirements.
- Proven ability to write detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, BPMN/process flows, and functional specifications for engineering teams.
- Comfortable interpreting REST APIs, JSON payloads, and data models, capable of defining integration requirements independently.
- Hands-on experience with Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum or Kanban) and tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Figma.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with confidence in running workshops involving UK stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience working with UK or EU clients in outsourced or offshore delivery models.
- Exposure to integrations with UK platforms such as Transact, Aviva, Quilter, AJ Bell, Fidelity, or Aegon, and planning tools like Voyant, CashCalc, Dynamic Planner, or FinaMetrica.
- Experience with data migration from legacy adviser technology systems.
- SQL proficiency for ad-hoc data analysis.
- Relevant certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, IIBA-AAC, CISI Investment Operations Certificate (IOC), or CFA Level I.
- Involvement in product discovery and roadmap shaping beyond delivering predefined tickets.
What We Offer

- Direct engagement with UK product leadership and end users, avoiding typical offshore back-of-the-queue roles.
- Investment in professional certifications and ongoing learning relevant to fintech and wealth management.
- Clear career progression opportunities into product ownership or lead business analyst roles as the engagement expands.
