UserWise is looking for a skilled QA Engineer to join our dynamic Live Operations team supporting a major international gaming publisher. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality, functionality, and user experience of our games by identifying and documenting bugs, glitches, and other issues throughout various stages of development. Your work will be critical in making sure these issues are resolved before game releases, contributing directly to player satisfaction and product success.
Key Responsibilities
- Game Testing: Play and test games at different development phases to detect and document bugs, glitches, and other problems. Execute detailed test cases and analyze the outcomes to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Bug Reporting: Clearly and concisely report identified issues. Collaborate closely with developers to reproduce bugs and assist in their resolution.
- Test Planning and Design: Develop and implement thorough test plans and cases based on game requirements and specifications. Design and manage test environments suitable for functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Collaboration: Work alongside developers and project managers to fully understand game features and mechanics. Provide constructive feedback and suggestions for improvements based on testing results.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of test procedures, results, and any issues encountered. Keep testing documentation up to date to track progress effectively.
- Monitoring Player Feedback: Regularly review Google Play, App Store, and Discord feedback, highlighting significant player comments and concerns to management.
- Analytics and Product Health: Test design analytics and monitor product health by reviewing crash logs and key performance indicators daily.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about the latest testing methodologies, tools, and industry trends. Actively participate in QA team meetings to help refine and improve QA processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in quality assurance, preferably within the gaming industry.
- Proficiency in basic English communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical abilities.
- Solid understanding of game development processes and lifecycle.
