We are seeking a hands-on Senior Software Engineering Lead to oversee the architecture, development, data engineering, and technical governance of both internal and client-facing software platforms. This role demands active technical engagement beyond traditional project management, including code review, database and system design, validation of calculations, data discrepancy resolution, and mentoring of developers. The ideal candidate will maintain a strong technical presence while guiding the team and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
Own the application architecture, database design, system integrations, and enforce technical standards across projects. Build and maintain secure, scalable platforms that support both internal operations and client delivery. Develop ETL/ELT pipelines using APIs, SQL databases, Excel, CSV files, and other data sources to transform raw operational and financial data into reliable reporting datasets. Design and implement interactive dashboards featuring KPIs, trends, filters, drilldowns, alerts, and export functionality.
Reconcile dashboard calculations with source data and investigate any discrepancies thoroughly. Establish and maintain robust processes for Git version control, code reviews, automated testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and release management. Manage multiple environments including development, testing, staging, and production to ensure smooth deployment cycles. Implement standards for system monitoring, backups, rollback procedures, and comprehensive technical documentation.
Review existing systems to identify and mitigate technical risks, reducing dependency on individual developers. Coach and mentor developers by assigning clear ownership of applications and modules. Communicate technical risks and recommendations effectively to non-technical management. Independently deliver end-to-end analytics solutions covering source data, data pipelines, databases, calculation logic, APIs, dashboards, testing, and deployment.
Required Qualifications
8 to 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a technical lead or software architecture role. Strong full-stack development skills are essential. Advanced expertise in SQL and relational database design is required, along with proven experience in building data pipelines and analytics platforms. Proficiency with frontend technologies such as React, Next.js, TypeScript, or equivalents is expected.
Backend development experience with Node.js, Python, C#/.NET, or similar technologies is necessary. Familiarity with APIs, cloud deployment, Git, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and automated testing is important. A deep understanding of data validation, KPI calculations, and reconciliation processes is critical. The candidate must be capable of thoroughly reviewing architecture, codebases, databases, and production releases. Excellent communication, documentation, and team leadership skills are mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience in healthcare, medical practice, or revenue-cycle management domains is highly desirable. Knowledge of Power BI or other business intelligence platforms will be an advantage. Understanding financial reporting, profit and loss analysis, and operational KPIs is beneficial. Experience working with client-facing platforms that handle sensitive business data is preferred.
Candidates who have only managed teams without the ability to personally evaluate code, data architecture, and calculation logic will not be considered suitable.
Compensation
The monthly salary range for this position is Rs 200,000 to Rs 250,000.
Work Location
This is an in-person role requiring presence at the office.
