Software Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Tableau Expert with extensive experience in both Tableau frontend and backend development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data modeling, creating database views and relationships, performance optimization, and implementing enterprise-level security measures such as roles, permissions, and privileges. This role involves designing, building, optimizing, and governing scalable Tableau solutions that support executive leadership, business teams, and technical stakeholders. The focus is on delivering high-performance, accurate, secure, and user-friendly analytics.

Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver impactful, interactive Tableau dashboards tailored for executives, operations, and analytics teams. These dashboards will include KPI scorecards, trend analyses, and drill-down reporting capabilities. Build and manage scalable Tableau data models by leveraging optimized relationships, joins, extracts, and live data connections. Develop and fine-tune advanced SQL queries and high-performance database views, including fact and dimension tables, to handle large datasets efficiently. Optimize dashboard responsiveness, query execution, data extracts, and server performance by utilizing Tableau’s performance tools alongside best practices in database tuning. Implement enterprise-grade security protocols covering user roles, groups, permissions, privileges, and row-level security (RLS). Administer Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud environments, managing tasks such as publishing reports, scheduling refreshes, monitoring system health, and controlling access. Establish and enforce Tableau governance standards, including certified data sources, consistent naming conventions, and single-source-of-truth methodologies. Collaborate closely with business users, product managers, data engineers, IT, and security teams to translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable analytics solutions.

Required Qualifications
A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience working with Tableau analytics solutions. Strong proficiency in Tableau Desktop as well as Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud environments. Advanced SQL skills combined with solid data modeling expertise. Demonstrated success in optimizing Tableau dashboards and overall system performance at scale. Deep understanding of Tableau security frameworks, including permissions and governance best practices. Experience working in large enterprise or regulated environments. Familiarity with data warehouses and cloud analytics platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift. Possession of Tableau certifications, either Associate or Professional level. Knowledge of data governance principles and analytics best practices.
