Our client, Zam Software Solutions, is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer with expertise in both manual and automated testing to join their Islamabad-based team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience in quality assurance and will be responsible for ensuring that software products meet rigorous quality standards. This role involves developing comprehensive test plans, designing detailed test cases, and employing a variety of testing strategies to detect defects and verify effective bug resolutions. Collaboration with development teams and other stakeholders is crucial to support continuous product improvement, although this position does not include team management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop detailed and structured test plans, test cases, and scenario matrices covering all functional and non-functional requirements of software products.
- Execute thorough manual and automated testing to identify defects and ensure software reliability.
- Design and implement test automation frameworks and scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Java, Cucumber, and API automation with Postman.
- Verify defect fixes and conduct regression testing to ensure resolved issues do not recur.
- Track and report bugs systematically using bug tracking tools, providing clear defect reports and actionable insights.
- Collaborate closely with development teams, business analysts, and project stakeholders to review requirements and technical documentation, offering timely feedback.
- Estimate, plan, prioritize, and coordinate testing activities to align with project deadlines and milestones.
- Maintain and update test scripts and documentation to reflect product changes, enhancements, and new releases accurately.
- Continuously monitor testing outcomes and quality assurance processes to identify improvement opportunities and implement best practices.
- Support daily communication and coordination with on-shore teams to ensure smooth QA operations and prompt issue resolution.
- Promote a culture of quality by adapting to evolving testing methodologies, tools, and technologies.
- Perform additional quality assurance tasks as assigned, maintaining a proactive approach toward innovation and delivering high-quality software.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of one year of experience in software quality assurance with hands-on exposure to both manual and automated testing.
- Proficiency in automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Java, Cucumber, and Postman for API testing.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and quality assurance processes.
- Experience in creating detailed test plans, test cases, and executing regression testing.
- Ability to use bug tracking software effectively and communicate defects clearly.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills to estimate, plan, and prioritize testing activities in alignment with project timelines.
