Overview:
To process shipments and enter onto in-house system for Express Department. Once processed ensuring shipment is placed in correct location either palletised or bagged for delivery out to airlines.
Reports to: Customer Service Manager - Express
Main accountabilities include:
• Process and check documents on arrival at AMI for export.
• Check weigh and measure all shipments to ensure maximum revenue.
• Working to the flight schedules in accordance with the operational plan.
• Ensure working methods create a safe environment.
• X-Ray shipments in a fully compliant manner as directed by the DfT.
• Work within the security directives of the group and ensure there are no breaches.
• All driving activities are conducted in accordance with the group driving policy.
• Complete customs requirements in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding agreement.
• Familiarise yourself with the group HSE policies including fire prevention.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Good Understanding of Courier Airfreight Operations with previous experience within a similar role advantageous.
• Good level of literacy and numeracy skills.
• Good Attention to detail.
• Good working knowledge of Whizz (in-house system) preferable.
• Full UK Driving License Essential.
• Completion of Aviation Security Certificate Level COS. Training will be provided.
