Field Boy

Spiral Surgical is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Field Boy to support field operations and ensure smooth logistical and maintenance processes. This role requires hands-on involvement in inventory management, basic maintenance tasks, and accurate record keeping related to surgical instruments and supplies. The successful candidate collaborates effectively with team members and communicates clearly to maintain operational efficiency. Having experience in the surgical industry is preferable and will be advantageous in understanding the specific requirements and protocols associated with surgical equipment handling. In this role, the Field Boy is responsible for assisting with the organization and management of surgical instruments and related materials to facilitate timely and efficient delivery and usage. The position demands reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to resolving issues that arise in the field environment. Although this role does not include managing a team, the candidate must possess strong teamwork skills and the ability to coordinate with various departments to support daily operations effectively.
Responsibilities

Manage inventory of surgical instruments and related supplies to ensure availability and proper storage.
Perform basic maintenance and cleaning tasks on surgical instruments and equipment to uphold hygiene and functionality standards.
Accurately maintain records of inventory transactions, instrument usage, and maintenance activities.
Coordinate with colleagues and different departments to facilitate the timely distribution of instruments and supplies.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to report issues and provide updates on field operations.
Adhere to safety protocols and surgical industry standards in handling and transporting instruments.
Assist in periodic audits and inspections of inventory to maintain compliance and accountability.
Contribute to team efforts to enhance operational efficiency and support emergency or urgent requests for surgical supplies.
