We are seeking a detail-oriented Electronic Design Engineer to spearhead the creation and refinement of cutting-edge electronic solutions.

This role is not only about pushing the boundaries of hardware design but also involves leveraging a broad spectrum of knowledge from various industries to deliver bespoke and innovative solutions.

Ideal candidates will be bringing a blend of technical expertise, industry-specific insights, and a consultative approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

  • Design/develop sophisticated mixed-signal and multilayer PCBs.
  • Serve as the focal point for CAD design with proficiency in the latest design tools.
  • Engage in collaborative discussions with the managing director to capture and interpret hardware specifications.
  • Foster a strong partnership with firmware engineers to ensure seamless integration between hardware and embedded software.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans of hardware prototypes.
  • Diagnose hardware issues, proposing timely solutions informed by a wide-ranging understanding of different technological standards and requirements.
  • Supervise the manufacturing process, ensuring PCBAs meet stringent quality/compliance standards relevant to specific industries (such as medical or aerospace)
  • Undertake maintenance and continuous improvement of hardware systems.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technological advancements, with a focus on trends impacting various sectors we consult in.
  • Drive the certification and documentation process, understanding the unique requirements of various sectors.

Requirements:

  • Deep proficiency in CAD software, including Altium, OrCAD or Autodesk Eagle.
  • Experience in analog & digital circuit design and simulation.
  • Demonstrated capability in designing commercial, industrial, and sector-specific circuits.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and precision.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills - capable of interpreting datasheets across a range of components.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, essential for client-facing consulting roles.
  • Proven ability to stay at the forefront of technological and design innovations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of microcontrollers and embedded systems interfacing (such as SPI, I2C, I2S, etc.).
  • Expertise in troubleshooting hardware issues, with a consultative approach to finding solutions.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with experience working in multidisciplinary teams and with clients from different industries.
