The Fundraising Officer at Strive Eradication of Disability Foundation plays a vital role in supporting the organizations efforts to raise funds for patients with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) and related health programs. This role involves engaging a variety of donors including individuals, corporate sponsors, philanthropists, and institutional partners. The Fundraising Officer is responsible for preparing compelling donation appeals, coordinating fundraising campaigns, and maintaining transparent and respectful communication with donors. The position requires someone skilled in communication, follow-up, and coordination to ensure the smooth mobilization of resources for patient treatment and organizational activities. Although this role does not involve managing a team, it requires frequent collaboration across multiple departments including patient support, communications, finance, and program teams to maintain accuracy and timeliness of fundraising efforts.
The ideal candidate holds a bachelors degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Development Studies, Public Administration, or a related field. A masters degree in a relevant domain is preferred. The candidate must possess at least three years of relevant experience in fundraising or donor engagement, preferably within the nonprofit or development sectors. Experience working with healthcare-related programs, disability inclusion initiatives, or humanitarian efforts is an advantage. Ethical fundraising practices, respect for patient confidentiality, and strong documentation skills are fundamental requirements for success in this role.
