The Fundraising Officer at Strive Eradication of Disability Foundation plays a vital role in supporting the organizations efforts to raise funds for patients with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) and related health programs. This role involves engaging a variety of donors including individuals, corporate sponsors, philanthropists, and institutional partners. The Fundraising Officer is responsible for preparing compelling donation appeals, coordinating fundraising campaigns, and maintaining transparent and respectful communication with donors. The position requires someone skilled in communication, follow-up, and coordination to ensure the smooth mobilization of resources for patient treatment and organizational activities. Although this role does not involve managing a team, it requires frequent collaboration across multiple departments including patient support, communications, finance, and program teams to maintain accuracy and timeliness of fundraising efforts. The ideal candidate holds a bachelors degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Development Studies, Public Administration, or a related field. A masters degree in a relevant domain is preferred. The candidate must possess at least three years of relevant experience in fundraising or donor engagement, preferably within the nonprofit or development sectors. Experience working with healthcare-related programs, disability inclusion initiatives, or humanitarian efforts is an advantage. Ethical fundraising practices, respect for patient confidentiality, and strong documentation skills are fundamental requirements for success in this role.
Responsibilities

Identify and approach potential donors, sponsors, philanthropists, institutions, and corporate partners to secure funding.
Support and coordinate fundraising campaigns including individual appeals, emergency funding drives, and online crowdfunding efforts for SMA patients.
Prepare effective donation letters, sponsorship proposals, donor presentations, fundraising emails, and other campaign content to engage and inform supporters.
Maintain thorough and up-to-date donor records including contact information, donation history, pledges, commitments, and follow-up activities.
Collaborate closely with patient support, communications, finance, and program teams to ensure fundraising data is accurate and updated promptly.
Collect and verify patient treatment needs, associated cost details, and progress updates while upholding patient dignity and confidentiality.
Ensure prompt donor acknowledgments through receipts, thank-you messages, appreciation letters, and impact reports conveying the use of funds.
Assist in managing online donation platforms, bank details, fundraising links, and digital communication channels to facilitate contributions.
Contribute to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) outreach, develop institutional partnerships, explore sponsorship opportunities, and support fundraising events.
Generate and present periodic fundraising reports to monitor funds raised, active campaigns, donor engagement levels, and follow-up status.
Represent the foundation professionally during donor meetings, telephone calls, events, and other external engagements to promote fundraising goals.
Perform any additional fundraising or donor engagement tasks as assigned by the management team.
