Subwiches is looking for a talented and creative R&D / QSR Chef to join us in developing and refining our food concept.

This is a hands-on product development role for someone who understands that successful QSR food needs to be delicious, consistent, commercially viable, and easy to execute at scale.

The ideal candidate will have strong practical experience in QSR, fast food, fast casual, café, or sandwich concepts and a proven ability to develop and test recipes, sauces, marinades, and complete menu items.

You will work closely with the founders and culinary partners to turn ideas into standardized, repeatable products ready for commercial launch.

Responsibilities

Develop and innovate menu items specifically designed for quick service restaurant formats, focusing on sandwiches, wraps, burgers, grilled chicken, and Western/Continental fast food.
Formulate recipes that optimize flavor, texture, cost, and ease of preparation while adhering to HACCP and food safety standards.
Design and develop sauces, marinades, and other complementary components to enhance menu offerings.
Conduct ingredient sourcing and quality assessments to ensure high-quality and consistent food inputs.
Implement and oversee food safety and quality assurance protocols to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to select appropriate ingredients that meet price and quality benchmarks.
Test and refine recipes through rigorous trial runs and sensory evaluations to guarantee superior taste and repeatability.
Assist in training kitchen staff or production teams on new recipes, processes, and food safety practices as required.
Maintain detailed documentation for all recipe development processes, ingredient specifications, and quality control measures.
Stay updated with emerging food trends and innovations within the fast food and quick service sector to continuously improve menu offerings.
