Job Title: Assistant Manager - Student Career Services

Department: Student Career Services

Qualification: Master’s degree in a relevant or closely related field (18 years of education).

Experience: Minimum 8 years of overall professional experience, of which at least 4 years must be in a relevant field.


Responsibilities

1.      Recruitment, with the help of Asst SCS,

·         Arranging 80 recruitment drives and tests in a year

·         Conducting 80 Mock interviews in a year

·         Arranging Corporate Finesse Workshops twice a year

·         Conducts at least 10 independent outreach activities (visits/ calls) with internship and placement partners, and prospective partners in a month.

·         Holding annual Job Fair with at least 60 companies

·         Arrange HR Networking engagements once a year

·         Solicits and ensures at least 75 placement opportunities a month through social media like LinkedIn, company websites, job portals, print, visits, calls, incoming emails etc.

·         At least one visit to every semester 1 (graduate) and Semester 5/6/ 7 (undergraduate) for information session

·         Conduct and organize documented meetings with Program Managers for feedback, updating of contact etc- at least once a year.

·         Maintains an MIS database of the all organizations and record of employment data. Update the contact and company list at least three times a year, for all companies. Review the companies/ businesses for legitimacy, with the help of SCS Officer.

·         Ensuring follow-up of submitted profiles for internships and placements

·         Troubleshoot any recruitment/ placement/ internship related issue with the help of Manager SCS.

 

2.      Research and information management

·         Assisting the Manager SCS in conducting an ‘Employer Survey’ on an annual basis.

·         Supervising update of/ Updating current activities and events on the SCS website, social media, e-groups/ WhatsApp groups. Compiling end of day report for postings.

·         Maintaining all data regarding placements, internships

·         Supervising implementation of the ‘Alumni Survey’.

·         Career and resume counselling as and when required

·         Giving clearance for completion of internship requirements for graduation, on behalf of the SCS.

3.      Graduation Publications

·         Collecting information for and printing of the annual GD, including sending notice to graduating students, photography, scanning resumes and advising students, arranging online GD template, review / proofread all resumes and coordinate with other departments including the Editor, SZABIST, and the Marketing, Zabsolutions and Procurement departments for timely printing of the GD and ensures observance of the GD timeline through strict follow-up with all relevant departments with the help of interns.

 

4.      Participating in university advancement activities i.e. orientation, admissions, convocation, conferences etc.
