Legal Council/ Legal Affairs Specialist

TCL Electronics Pakistan (Pvt.) Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Legal Council/ Legal Affairs Specialist to provide comprehensive legal support across its sales, manufacturing, and business operations. This role serves as the primary legal contact for local business units, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations in Pakistan. The specialist will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts and advising on corporate governance, labor laws, regulatory compliance, and operational legal risks related to manufacturing and factory environments. Strong collaboration with headquarters and regional legal teams is essential to support cross-border transactions and implement company-wide legal policies. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelors degree in Law and possesses 3-5 years of legal experience preferably with a law firm or legal department in a multinational corporation. This position demands robust knowledge of commercial contract drafting, labor laws, corporate governance, and compliance matters including anti-bribery and competition laws. The role requires excellent legal drafting skills, sound commercial judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced business setting without managing a team. Experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors and engagement with litigation or regulatory processes is highly desirable.
Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day legal support to sales, manufacturing, and business operations ensuring all activities comply with local laws and corporate policies.
• Review, draft, and negotiate various commercial agreements including sales, distribution, procurement, manufacturing, supply, and service contracts with an emphasis on minimizing legal risks.
• Advise on legal matters related to factory operations including procurement, contractor agreements, equipment usage, occupational health and safety, and compliance risks.
• Offer guidance on corporate and governance documentation such as board resolutions, shareholder agreements, signing authorities, and maintain appropriate corporate records in coordination with headquarters.
• Support labor and employment law issues including employment contracts, dispute resolution, disciplinary actions, and termination procedures while liaising with external counsel when necessary.
• Advise on consumer protection, competition, advertising, product regulation, and other legal compliance matters pertinent to the Companys operations in Pakistan.
• Facilitate implementation of compliance programs including anti-bribery, corruption prevention, competition law compliance, conflict of interest management, and third-party due diligence.
• Manage or assist in litigation, regulatory investigations, claims, and disputes by coordinating with external law firms, authorities, and internal teams while tracking case progress and costs.
• Conduct thorough legal reviews of significant projects and transactions to identify risks and provide pragmatic and commercially viable legal advice and risk mitigation strategies.
• Support contract management processes and help improve legal document templates, internal controls, and approval workflows.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments in Pakistan relevant to the companys operations and inform management and headquarters on material changes and their business implications.
• Coordinate with headquarters legal to ensure compliance and alignment on cross-border legal matters, group-wide initiatives, and regional projects.
• Develop and deliver legal training and awareness sessions for local teams on critical legal and compliance topics to strengthen organizational understanding and adherence.
