Techno Solutions is seeking a dedicated SOC Analyst to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field and has at least one year of experience working within security operations. This role focuses on monitoring, detecting, and responding to cybersecurity threats using tools such as Wazuh. The SOC Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and integrity of the organization's data and systems by analyzing security alerts and assisting with incident response activities. The position does not include team management responsibilities but requires a collaborative approach to effectively support the cybersecurity team. The SOC Analyst will be responsible for maintaining a continuous watch over network security and threat activity, employing various security tools to detect unusual behaviors or threats. The role demands a solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and the ability to adapt quickly to emerging risks. Strong analytical skills combined with the candidates knowledge of security tools enable effective monitoring and mitigation of security incidents. The candidate must be capable of executing security procedures, documenting incidents, and contributing to the enhancement of the SOCs defensive capabilities.
Responsibilities

  • Monitor network activity and security alerts using tools such as Wazuh to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Analyze security events and alerts, assess their severity, and escalate incidents as necessary to senior cybersecurity personnel.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, emerging threats, and new attack vectors.
  • Conduct preliminary incident investigations and support incident response teams to contain and remediate security breaches.
  • Document security incidents and prepare detailed reports to assist in future threat prevention and mitigation strategies.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other IT and security personnel to improve overall cybersecurity posture and system resilience.
  • Perform regular audits of system logs and security configurations to identify weaknesses or gaps in defenses.
  • Support the implementation of new security tools and technologies as recommended by the security team.
  • Stay informed about regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity standards.
