Job Description

  • Providing leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting team.
  • Be an effective organization leader, act as the integrator and navigator for the accounts and finance team and ensure the
  • implementation of International Financial Reporting Standards issued by International Federation of Accountants.
  • Effective Role in the tax planning.
  • To ensure the monthly regulatory compliances like FBR PRA and the annual SECP compliance.
  • Present the monthly quarterly half yearly and annual accounts according to the time frame provided by the management.
  • To develop and Monitor the system to reduce the cost, effective and efficient utilization of resources.
  • Supervision of the budgets and ensuring that the budgets are realistic, reliable and accurate.
  • Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry. Report risk issues to the audit committee of the board of directors.
  • Coordination with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations.
  • Arrange for debt financing and equity financing.
  • Ensure the system of recording and summarizing business and financial transactions and analyzing, verifying, and reporting the
  • results.
  • Work with the Management on the strategic vision including fostering and cultivating stakeholder relationships, as well as assisting
  • in the development and negotiation of contracts.
  • Responds to daily inquiries from the Directors regarding financial results, special reporting requests.
  • Ensure adequate controls are installed and that substantiating documentation is approved.
  • Oversee the production of monthly reports including reconciliations, as well as financial statements and cash flow projections for
  • use by Executive management.
  • Oversee the maintenance of all fixed assets.
  •  Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and ensure a disaster recovery plan is in place.
  • Participate in developing new business, specifically: assist the Chairman in identifying new funding opportunities, the drafting of
  • prospective programmatic budgets, and determining cost effectiveness of prospective service delivery.
  • Oversee all purchasing and payroll activity for staff and participants.
  • Provide the Chairman with an operating budget. Work with the Chairman to ensure programmatic success through cost analysis
  • support, and compliance with all contractual and programmatic requirements.
  • Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the organization including: organizational
  • revenue/expense and balance sheet reports, reports to funding agencies, development and monitoring of organizational,
  • contract/grant budgets and taxation authority compliance.
  • Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization. Oversee the coordination and
  • activities of independent auditors, and the preparation of the annual financial statements is in accordance with applicable laws and
  • regulations.
  • Monitor banking activities of the organization.
  • Assist in performing all tasks necessary to achieve the organization's mission and help execute staff succession and growth plans.
  • Ensure adequate cash flow to meet the organization's needs.
  • Investigate cost-effective benefit plans and other fringe benefits which the organization may offer employees and potential
  • employees with the goal of attracting and retaining qualified individuals.
  • Be an effective leader of the finance and accounting function and bring professional qualities to the role and the organization.
  • Train the Finance Unit and other staff on raising awareness and knowledge of financial management matters.
  • Accomplishes finance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
