Validator

At Three Percent, we are seeking a skilled Validator to join our dynamic team responsible for maintaining and operating blockchain nodes, ensuring the integrity and security of cryptocurrency networks. The ideal candidate brings at least two years of experience in final expense validation and has a strong foundation in blockchain technology, consensus mechanisms, and node operation and maintenance. This role requires hands-on expertise in various blockchain protocols, security best practices, and validator key management to maintain the robustness and reliability of our distributed ledger systems. In addition to technical proficiency, the Validator will lead a dedicated team of 10 professionals, driving collaborative efforts towards achieving fault-tolerant and secure blockchain operations. The Validator manages validator key management systems, configures and monitors node operations, and ensures seamless interaction with smart contracts while upholding stringent security protocols. The role demands vigilance in network monitoring and maintenance, enabling prompt fault recovery and continuous system availability. Working closely with the team, the Validator enhances blockchain consensus processes, implements Byzantine fault tolerance methodologies, and applies advanced cryptographic practices such as threshold signature schemes and secure multi-party computation. Responsibilities

Manage the setup, configuration, and maintenance of blockchain nodes to ensure reliable network participation and stability.
Operate and monitor validator key management systems (VKMS) to secure private keys and manage validator credentials effectively.
Lead and coordinate a team of 10 members to execute blockchain validation tasks and ensure adherence to operational best practices.
Implement and maintain consensus mechanisms including Proof of Stake (PoS), Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS), and Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance (PBFT).
Conduct continuous network monitoring to detect anomalies, security threats, and performance issues, implementing corrective actions promptly.
Engage in fault tolerance and recovery efforts to ensure system resilience and uptime in decentralized network environments.
Apply cryptographic key management techniques, including the use of Hardware Security Modules (HSM) and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), to safeguard sensitive data.
Collaborate on smart contract interaction and development to facilitate secure and efficient transaction validation on the blockchain.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of blockchain protocols, Tendermint Core consensus, Byzantine Fault Tolerance, and the latest industry advancements.
Enforce security best practices within node operation and network maintenance to prevent vulnerabilities and unauthorized access.
Utilize advanced cryptographic schemes such as BLS signatures and Threshold Signature Schemes (TSS) to enhance validator security.
Coordinate with certificate authorities (CA) and manage certificate issuance and renewal processes as part of network security management.
Document operational procedures, incident reports, and configuration changes to maintain comprehensive knowledge bases.
Support scalability initiatives and protocol upgrades by evaluating system impacts and participating in deployment preparations.
