Responsibilities:

 

  • Promptly handle assigned issues and tasks
  • Providing support and first-line response to general IT inquiries from users
  • Undertaking regular preventive maintenance to the official equipment and the computers system
  • Communicate with end-users, instruct them on how to progress with tasks, use support tools and methods to solve problems and identify possible side effects and provide solutions
  • Undertaking regular and approved upgrades to the systems
  • Reviewing, procuring, and installing approved hardware
  • You will be responsible for maintaining IT inventory.
  • Good understanding of the basic IT functions and be in a position to advise on the best use of IT to users.
  • Providing information and communication-related administrative tasks including keeping hardware/software inventory up-to-date and relevant documentation records up-to-date.
  • Perform routine network startup and shutdown procedures when required, and maintain control records.
  • You should have the basic knowledge of repairing laptops/computers and software installations.
  • Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations, and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes.
  • Identify potential component malfunctions in computer systems and networks. Monitor and communicate about incidents.
  • Deploy appropriate resources with a minimal outage and deploy appropriate diagnostic tools.
  • Providing other IT administrative tasks when required.
  • The Assistant IT Administrator position is the balance of responsibilities is likely to change, as it’s required.
  • Select and apply system and network monitoring techniques. Identify and fix operational problems.
  • Ensure that the system's capabilities and efficiency match company specifications.

Requirements:

  • The assistant IT administrator should be a good team member.
  • Previous experience, minimum 2 years, working as an assistant IT admin for a medium to large organization.
  • Must be able to work in rotational shift. 
  • Graduation, BCS, BSIT, BE.
  • A prior work experience of at least 1-2 years in the Software industry.
  • Have the certification of CCNA & Microsoft certified is a plus point.
