Key Responsibilities
The Video Editor will be responsible for assembling and refining raw footage into polished, engaging videos that maintain pacing, continuity, and narrative clarity. Daily tasks include editing video content across various formats, applying color corrections and grading, and incorporating motion graphics and titles to enhance the visual appeal. The editor will collaborate closely with directors and producers to bring creative concepts to life while organizing media assets and maintaining project files. Preparing final outputs optimized for different platforms is also a critical part of the role. The Video Editor will work alongside the production team to uphold the studio’s storytelling standards and visual style, ensuring every project meets the company’s quality benchmarks.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate strong skills in video editing and production, with proficiency in video color grading and overall visual refinement. Expertise in motion graphics, including creating titles, overlays, and other visual enhancements, is essential. Proficiency with industry-standard editing and post-production software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, or similar tools is required. A solid understanding of visual storytelling principles, including composition, pacing, and sound syncing, is necessary to succeed in this role. Candidates should be able to collaborate effectively within a team, accept constructive feedback, and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Relevant experience in film, media, or creative production is important, and a portfolio or showreel demonstrating previous work is strongly preferred.
