Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of four warehouse staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Manage inventory through effective use of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory management software.
- Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods ensuring accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
- Implement and monitor quality control procedures to prevent losses and maintain product integrity.
- Maintain and operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to forecast demand and manage stock replenishment.
- Utilize ERP systems to track inventory movement and generate operational reports.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the warehouse.
- Optimize warehouse layout and processes to enhance storage utilization and workflow efficiency.
- Train and mentor team members to improve skills and enhance performance.
- Conduct periodic audits and cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures to improve warehouse processes.
- Coordinate with transport and logistics vendors for timely inbound and outbound shipments.
- Manage documentation related to warehouse operations, including shipment records and inventory logs.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder points to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
