Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced UK Tax Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of tax compliance, planning, and reporting for our organization by UK tax laws and regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of corporate tax principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all UK tax laws and regulations, including corporation tax, VAT, and other relevant taxes.
  • Prepare and file accurate and timely tax returns, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the organization's tax position and minimize tax liabilities.
  • Conduct research on complex tax issues and guide management on tax implications of business decisions.
  • Liaise with external tax advisors and authorities on tax audits, inquiries, and other matters as necessary.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in UK tax legislation and assess their impact on the organization.
  • Provide tax advice and support to internal departments, including finance, legal, and operations.Assist in the preparation of tax provisions and financial statements by UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Collaborate with international tax teams to ensure consistency and compliance with global tax strategies.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives as a tax subject matter expert.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. ACCA (Tax Paper Passed or Chartered Accountant qualification preferred.
  • Extensive experience (3+ years) in UK corporate taxation, preferably in a managerial role.In-depth knowledge of UK tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in tax software and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
  • High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
