ZAR Engineers Contracting Firm seeks an experienced MEP Supervisor to oversee and coordinate all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing operations on significant construction projects. The ideal candidate brings at least ten years of practical experience and possesses a strong understanding of building electrification systems, including lighting, power distribution, CCTV, networking, public address, fire alarm systems, plumbing, and fire fighting installations. This role requires a proactive professional who can lead a team of 10 skilled personnel, ensuring the successful execution of MEP activities according to project schedules and quality standards. The MEP Supervisor is responsible for supervising the installation, testing, and commissioning of various MEP systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety regulations. The candidate will coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues, optimize workflow, and maintain project momentum. Attention to detail, problem-solving aptitude, and strong organizational skills are essential to managing the complexities of multidisciplinary MEP works within the construction environment.
Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate MEP activities on site, including mechanical systems, electrical installations, and plumbing works.
Manage and lead a dedicated team of 10 technicians and workers, assigning tasks and monitoring progress to meet project deadlines.
Ensure all MEP installations comply with design specifications, technical standards, safety codes, and company policies.
Oversee the installation and maintenance of building electrification systems such as lighting, power supply, CCTV, networking, public address, and fire alarm systems.
Manage plumbing and fire fighting system installations, ensuring all piping, fixtures, and equipment are correctly installed and tested.
Utilize AutoCAD MEP drawings to guide installation processes, verify layouts, and address spatial coordination challenges.
Coordinate with project management, procurement, and engineering teams to secure materials, resolve on-site issues, and optimize resource allocation.
Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks, promptly resolving any discrepancies or non-conformities.
Prepare daily and weekly progress reports documenting work performed, challenges faced, and proposed solutions.
Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a hazard-free workplace for all team members.
Train and mentor team members on technical skills, safety compliance, and best practices related to MEP installations.
Collaborate with external contractors and vendors to ensure smooth integration of systems and timely completion of all assigned tasks.
Identify potential risks or delays affecting the MEP scope and propose corrective actions to maintain schedule adherence.
Assist in budget tracking and cost control related to MEP activities, minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency.
Support commissioning activities by overseeing system testing, troubleshooting defects, and ensuring operational readiness.
